What it means
Making a wallet work like a programmable account, so it can do things a plain key can't, such as let someone else pay its network fees.
A smart account can batch several steps into one, recover access in new ways or set its own spending rules.
How it works
It's part of how apps can cover gas fees so you never need to hold a network token.
