What it means
A website that shows everything recorded on a blockchain: every wallet, balance and transaction.
Because a public blockchain is open, anyone can look up a transaction by its ID or a wallet by its address. For Base the best known explorer is Basescan.
How it works
It's the easiest way to check for yourself that a payment went through, without trusting any app's word for it.
