What it means
EU rules that make crypto service providers pass sender and recipient details along with transfers between them.
It's the crypto version of what banks already do for wire transfers, in force in the EU since December 2024.
How it works
It applies to companies that hold or transfer crypto for customers. Payments from your own wallet can still be checked when they reach such a company.
